Hannah & Chris’ Beautifully Personal Wedding at The Hundred House Hotel, Telford

Some weddings just hit you right in the feels – and Hannah and Chris’ day at The Hundred House Hotel in Norton, Telford was absolutely one of them.

Their wedding had a beautifully simple charm with so many thoughtful, retro touches that nodded to both of their families and histories. It felt completely them from start to finish – personal, emotional, and effortlessly lovely.

A Ceremony Full of Meaning and Handmade Touches

Hannah and Chris tied the knot in the Tythe Barn at The Hundred House, surrounded by beautiful handmade decorations that Hannah had poured hours of love into. Delicate pieces hung from the wooden beams, creating the most magical and heartfelt setting.

The ceremony itself was deeply emotional — one of those rare ones where you can visibly see how in love the couple are. I definitely got a little misty-eyed behind the camera.

Reception, Scotch Eggs, and Stories That Made Everyone Laugh

After the “I do’s,” guests made their way to the marquee for a relaxed and joyful reception. It was full of laughter, great conversation, and — honestly — the best scotch eggs I’ve ever had at a wedding.

The speeches were a real highlight too. Both sets of parents shared stories that perfectly captured Hannah and Chris’s personalities and journeys, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

A Creative Approach to Capturing the Day

I’ve photographed weddings at The Hundred House before, and while it’s such a charming venue, it doesn’t have a huge open space for group photos. So, I got creative — bringing out the drone to capture a gorgeous big group shot with the house as a backdrop. It made for a really memorable image and one of my favourite frames of the day.

The rest of the time, I did what I love most: mingling quietly and capturing all the genuine, in-between moments. Before the wedding breakfast, I whisked Hannah and Chris away for some relaxed portraits around the grounds while their guests found their seats.

A Moment I’ll Never Forget

There was one particular moment that caught me completely off guard and honestly brought a tear to my eye. Just before the ceremony, Hannah’s mum gave her a music box that played the same song used at her nan’s wedding — not knowing that Hannah had, by total coincidence, chosen that exact song to walk into the ceremony to. Played beautifully on accordion, no less.

It was pure magic.
